Some people don't need the best, others are satisfied with the golden mean. This is where he represents now Galaxy A34 5G. But how does the new generation compare to the previous one, and is it worth investing in it rather than last year's model?

This year's middle class carries clear design elements of the series Galaxy S23, when it got rid of the protruding photo module and instead only individual lenses protrude above the surface of the back. You will definitely like the color versions, where the silver one with a prismatic effect is really impressive. Then it's mainly about the specifications.

The display is a clear improvement

The main thing, i.e. the display, has grown slightly. From a 6,4" FHD+ Super AMOLED with a 90Hz refresh rate and a brightness of 800 nits, we have a 6,6" FHD+ Super AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate and a brightness of 1 nits. It's clearly a great intergenerational shift. Vision Booster technology is also present.

But because of this, the device itself has grown, which now has dimensions of 161,3 x 78,1 x 8,2 mm instead of last year's 159,7 x 74 x 8,1 mm. Galaxy The A54 5G is also heavier, weighing 199g versus 186g. Both the back and bezel are plastic. The in-display fingerprint sensor remains as does the IP 67 rating.

Cameras without major changes

We lost the 2MPx depth lens, the main one retains 48MPx, the 5MPx macro and 8MPx ultra-wide-angle remain. The front camera in the U-shaped cutout is 13MPx. So, at first glance, it may seem that it has moved on, but the individual technologies as well as the software are improved here. However, it probably won't have a drastic effect on the result, even if we will only find out in the test.

Power grows between generations

The Exynos 1280 replaced the Dimensity 1080 from MediaTek here. We have two memory variants here, i.e. 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB. We also still have the option of using microSD cards up to 1 TB in size. Although the 5mAh battery with 000W fast charging remains, the device can play video for up to 25 hours and can handle 21 days of operation with normal use.

It is obvious that the changes are only cosmetic, but even so, you can clearly distinguish the two models from each other precisely because of the new design of the back, and the larger and better display will also please you. The price starts at CZK 9 for the 499GB version and ends at CZK 128 for the 10GB version. Galaxy The A33 5G is currently sold for CZK 7. If you decide on the second mentioned model, then hurry up, because Samsung wants to stop selling it at the end of the month (although it will certainly remain on offer at distributors for some time).
