You are afraid of damaging the lenses of your new phone Galaxy S23 or S23+? Samsung mentions that they are lined with steel rings so you don't have to worry about placing them on rougher surfaces, but nothing is indestructible, especially on impact. That's why PanzerGlass Camera Protector for Samsung is here Galaxy S23/S23+.

Modern smartphones are packed with the latest technology, which is why they are so expensive. Even if you then try to be careful about them as much as possible, sometimes it is not enough. Even with simple use, hairline marks, scratches, and cracks will appear over time. But PanzerGlass does not only offer protective glass for the display and covers. As the name of the product suggests, Camera Protector also covers cameras as it is designed for camera rear lenses. Its use thus eliminates unwanted damage to the lenses when carelessly placing the phone on any surface.

Applying is a matter of time

The relatively small box offers everything important – the glass itself, an alcohol cloth, a polishing cloth and a sticker. So first you clean the lenses and the space between them with an alcohol cloth, then you polish it with a microfiber cloth. If there are still any specks of dust around the lenses, you can simply remove them with a sticker.

Since the area around the cameras is smaller, the procedure itself is simpler. You then simply remove the Camera Protector from the mat and place it on the lenses. You can't get confused because the cameras are evenly spaced from each other, both on Galaxy S23 so on a bigger one Galaxy S23+. This set is therefore intended for both models, whichever one you own (we tested the product with Galaxy S23+). After placing the glass, you just press it firmly to get rid of air bubbles and peel off the film number 2. You will also find this procedure illustrated on the package.

How about the covers?

The glasses fit perfectly and thanks to the clear material used, there is no risk of distortion of the resulting photos, because they logically do not interfere with the lenses themselves, they just cover them. The black edges only increase them optically, which actually looks paradoxically better, but they also help to maintain the fast focus of the camera. The hardness is 9H, which is the PanzerGlass standard, the rounding is 2D and the thickness is 0,4 mm. The company also states that fingerprints do not stick to the glass thanks to the oleophobic layer present. Even if, such a complete surface is definitely better cleaned than individual lenses.

If you use the original PanzerGlass cover, everything is fine, because the glass counts here. Even so, there is a small gap around it, which is perhaps a shame, because dirt can get in there. With original Samsung covers (and similar ones), which only have cutouts for individual lenses, but the Camera Protector cannot logically be used. Thanks to the adhesive layer, the glass is held exactly in place, and there is no risk of it accidentally peeling off. You have to use more power to do this. The manufacturer even states that you can remove it and re-stick it up to 200 times. The price is 399 CZK.
