The introduction of the second generation of CZ Smart smartwatches by Citizen this January at the CES fair attracted a lot of attention and considerable interest, not only thanks to the integration of interesting technology used by NASA. Originally, sales were supposed to start already in March, but unfortunately there was a delay, and now the CZ Smarts are finally available for pre-order, with a release scheduled for May 1, 2023.

The company recently on its Site published the complete new CZ Smart collection, including accessories. Here you can choose from various designs and sizes, the price of which starts at 350 dollars, i.e. in conversion, less than 7 and a half thousand crowns. As a nice bonus, Citizen throws in a free leather strap regardless of which variant you go for.

The watch uses artificial intelligence developed in collaboration with IBM Watson to predict your cognitive and physical energy throughout the day and can help you create better habits to make your days more productive. This is the same technology that NASA uses to determine the fatigue level of its astronauts. Of course, it is questionable to what extent this technology, despite having solid scientific data behind it, will prove effective in office work and not space travel.

In addition to space gadgets, CZ Smart will offer mostly typical functions that can be expected from other devices in this segment. It is one of the few smart watches that, at least for now, will run with the operating system Wear OS 3, known from Samsung Galaxy Watch or Pixels Watch from Google. They get 1 GB of operating memory and 8 GB of internal storage. According to the company, the watch can also be recharged to 80% in just 40 minutes, after which it is able to function throughout the day.

As with most competitive products today, there are several variants to choose from that differ in size, design and price. The $350 version of the watch measures 41mm and comes with a silicone strap, plus the aforementioned bonus leather strap. As the price increases, so do the sizes and types of straps, with the most expensive version in size 44 mm with a stainless steel strap in a sporty design coming in at $435, i.e. just over 9 crowns.
