Samsung started on tablets late last year Galaxy issue an update with the One UI 6.0 superstructure, based on Androidu 14. Although the new software brought a number of new functions and customization options to them, it also seems to have a very annoying problem.

A number of users on the US Samsung Community Forum complains to that after updating their tablet Galaxy na Android 14/UI 6.0 noticed the shrinking of icons and widgets on the home screen, leaving a significant amount of space on both sides of the display. At first it seemed that the operating system used a different grid size by default and that resizing it would solve the problem, but that didn't seem to help.

Upon further investigation, users noticed that this space was unusable and they could not place icons and widgets in it. Because of this, according to them, the home screen looks cluttered, and since the space on both sides of the display is unusable, its area is largely wasted. Users have tried updating the One UI Home launcher to the latest version, but that didn't help either. They also used the Home Up module within the Good Lock app, which allows you to "play around" with a number of aspects of the home screen, but again to no avail.

This seems to be a very widespread problem. It seems like almost everyone who owns a tablet is experiencing it Galaxy regardless of model updated to One UI 6.0. Samsung has yet to comment on it, which is quite surprising and certainly disappointing for many, as this is a very serious issue and it's been over three months since it surfaced. Affected users can thus hope that the Korean giant acknowledges the problem as soon as possible and immediately releases an update to fix it.
