Gaming on smartphones is clearly in vogue. Today we learned how Samsung is bringing its cloud platform to devices Galaxy and now one of the most famous game studios in the world, Epic Games, has announced that its Epic Games Store will "land" on them later this year.

In a post on social network X, the Epic Games studio wrote that the Epic Games Store “is coming to iOS a Android". That should happen later this year. It reiterated about its store on the occasion that it is a "true multi-platform store". On PC, the Epic Games Store is an alternative to Steam, long the largest store for PC games.

Epic went on to mention "a level playing field" in the post. By this he means that he will offer an equal distribution of income to Androidu/iOS like on PC. So developers will keep 88% of the revenue generated by their games, while Epic will get 12%. This is significantly less than Google Play and Apple's App Store, its share is up to 30%. In 2021, however, Google announced that it would only take 15% of the first million earned by a third-party app, and it also offers certain concessions Apple, which, however, is widely criticized for its fees and also dragged into court cases.

At the moment, it is not known exactly when Epic's store will arrive on mobile this year, when it plans to do so on iOS, nor what games will be offered in it. The store's final look isn't known either, as the image Epic shared in its post is "just a concept."
