Samsung's latest series Galaxy The S24 boasts a number of AI-powered photography features. One of them is the one called Coloring. This small but all the more useful AI photo feature allows you to turn black and white photos into color.
Use the Colorize function to add color to black and white photos as follows:
- My own Galaxy S24, S24+ or S24 Ultra take a black and white photo (you surely have old pictures of your grandparents somewhere in the attic).
- Swipe up on it in the photo application or Gallery.
- Tap the option Coloring.
- Let the AI work its magic for a while and tap the button if you're happy with the result Impose (the edited image can also be saved as a copy by tapping the option Další).

Although the results are far from perfect (for example, the AI has an obvious problem with skin coloring), the purpose of adding color to black and white images is fulfilled by Colorization more than well. It can be assumed that this feature will reach older devices through the update with the One UI 6.1 superstructure Galaxy, such as the row Galaxy S23 or foldable smartphones Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5.
