Google has announced that it has made its Podcast export tool available globally (it was previously only available to US users). At the same time, he stated that Google Podcasts will end in all regions at once and that's it 23. June 2024.
The Podcast export tool has been available to international users since yesterday. When you open the Podcasts app or visit this site a new banner will appear at the top of the application:
- "Easily transfer your podcast subscription list to YouTube Music.”
- "Download the podcast subscription list as an OPML file and then import it into the podcast application of your choice.”
So you can transfer your podcast subscriptions to YouTube Music or get an OPML file. You can use the export tool until July 29, with the same deadline for US users.
Google has previously shared how it wants YouTube Music to be a "destination station for podcasters and fans." According to the company, the service provides a traditional experience (compared to video) that Podcasts also offered.
