The first renders of the upcoming Sony Xperia 1 IV flagship (not to be confused with the smartphone Xperia 5IV, which will be a more compact version of it) that could compete with the range Samsung Galaxy S22. High-quality images show the familiar design of Xperia devices.

The Xperia 1 IV will be according to the renders published by the website Computer Database to have a massive square body with an elongated display (apparently with an aspect ratio of 21:9) with a rather prominent top and bottom bezel and a vertically arranged triple camera. In other words, it's a pretty typical Xperia, and as you know, these phones don't go with the mainstream when it comes to design.

According to unofficial information, the Xperia 1 IV will attract a 6,5-inch OLED display with a high resolution of 1644 x 3160 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, the current Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 flagship chip, 12 or 16 GB of operating memory and stereo speakers. The phone should not lack resistance to water and dust according to the IP65 or IP68 standard or support for 5G networks. Its dimensions are said to be 164,7 x 70,8 x 8,3 mm. It is currently unknown when the new flagship Xperia will be launched, but speculation is around April or May.
