Samsung has been the undisputed number one in the foldable smartphone market for some time now. However, it could soon face more serious competition in this area from Chinese manufacturers who are preparing new flexible phones this year like on a conveyor belt. One of them should be Oppo, which seems to be working on a serious competitor to the model Galaxy Z-Flip4.

According to Chinese website sohu.com cited by GSMArena, Oppo will introduce its new flexible phone in the second half of this year. Its form factor should be similar to that of the models Galaxy Z Flip, and will reportedly be powered by Qualcomm's next flagship chip Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+, which should also be used by the fourth generation of Flip. The state has around 5 yuan (roughly CZK 000). For comparison: Galaxy Z-Flip3 is sold on the Chinese market for 7 yuan (approximately CZK 399). So it would be really serious competition.

This won't be the first flexible phone from the Chinese smartphone giant. As you may recall, late last year he released a "bender" Find Women, which is a direct competitor Galaxy From Fold3. In addition to it, companies should present their new foldable smartphones this year Xiaomi, Vivo or OnePlus, with this time there's a chance they'll look at international markets as well (we sincerely hope so). Samsung's unequivocal dominance in this field could thus be shaken, which, of course, would only be good for customers, as greater competition leads to faster innovation and lower prices.
