As you all know, Samsung will introduce its new high-end "flagship" tomorrow Galaxy S23 and her siblings Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra. Its design has already leaked into the ether, specifications a dinner (at least for a few markets), and based on this information, it appears to be a solid upgrade over its predecessor. It will apparently bring, among other things, a faster chipset, a simpler design and a bigger battery. But what if you have a two year old Galaxy S21? It pays to switch from it to Galaxy S23?
A much more powerful chipset, exclusive to the range Galaxy S23
The most significant improvement which Galaxy S23 vs Galaxy The S21 will deliver, will its performance. This year, Samsung is going to exclusively use a higher-clocked version of the chip in the new flagship series Snapdragon 8 Gen2 with name Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy. With some phones powered by Qualcomm's latest flagship chipset already available in the market, we have a pretty good idea of its performance. It offers better processor and graphics chip performance and is more energy efficient at the same time.
This means that Galaxy The S23 equipped with an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will be significantly faster than the Galaxy S21. It will perform better when multitasking or gaming, and could also offer longer battery life when connected to a 5G network.
Improved cameras
The second biggest improvement Galaxy S23 vs Galaxy The S21 will have its front and rear cameras. It will be equipped with a 12MP selfie camera with auto focus, which will be able to record HDR10+ videos in 4K resolution at 60 fps. Galaxy The S21 had a 10MP front-facing camera that had autofocus, but didn't support HDR10+.
It has on the back Galaxy S23 50MPx main camera. It uses a larger sensor than the 12MPx primary camera Galaxy S21. Both phones have the same 12MPx "wide-angle", however Galaxy The S23 is equipped with a true telephoto lens (with a resolution of 10 MPx) with three times optical zoom. Galaxy The S21, by contrast, uses a 64MP sensor that digitally crops images to create a 3x hybrid zoom.
Brighter display with more durable protection
Galaxy The S21 has a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 1300 nits peak brightness. Galaxy The S23 boosts brightness to an impressive 1750 nits, matching phones Galaxy S22Ultra and the S23 Ultra. This increase should significantly improve the readability of the display in direct sunlight. The new screen is also expected to have better colors in bright sunlight.
Display Galaxy The S23 is also equipped with a protective glass Gorilla Glass Victus 2. This, according to the manufacturer, offers greater resistance to breakage than the Gorilla Glass Victus that was used in the series Galaxy S21 and S22.
Faster connectivity and (potentially) longer battery life
Thanks to its newer chip, it Galaxy The S23 boasts advanced connectivity features such as Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. It also has a more energy-efficient 5G modem that offers faster download and upload speeds than Galaxy S21. Although Galaxy The S23 has a slightly smaller battery capacity (3900 vs. 4000 mAh), could offer longer battery life, thanks to a more advanced chipset manufactured using TSMC's 4nm process.
Updates guaranteed for the next five years
Galaxy The S21 went on sale with Androidem 11 and has already received two system updates. He will get two more in the future, so he will end up at Androidin 15 Galaxy The S23 will be software driven Android 13 with superstructure One UI 5.1 and will receive four upgrades in the future Androidua will receive security updates for five years. The phone will thus be supported by software until 2028.
All in all, the transition from Galaxy S21 on Galaxy The S23 is definitely worth it, as the newer phone will offer a much more powerful chipset, a brighter screen, faster connectivity, significantly better cameras, and a battery that should have similar or better battery life, even if it's slightly smaller than the one in Galaxy S21.
Ok, on paper it is more powerful, but will the user know it during use? Has anyone actually managed to overclock the RAM on the S21 or experienced crashes?
In theory, you could say yes when playing graphically demanding games. The currently presented Wreckfest is a very big gourmand.
If he takes pictures and didn't buy the S22, it will definitely pay off. The problem here is that the S22 has become so cheap that it is worth buying the basic S22, because the basic version is no different (S22 vs S23)
I've had the S21 for two years and it's never let me down. The only thing that annoys me is when it's plugged in. It takes a really long time to turn on, but realistically, if I turn it off, maybe once a month it will run out.
I play free fire and I don't experience any crashes, it just gets hot, which I take for granted after 2 hours of playing.
I also wanted to buy an s23 instead of an s20 for my wife, which she has owned for almost three years.
And in the end she decided to iphone 14..because she would personally recognize a better battery and camera, otherwise nothing important.
Although she personally bought a worse phone for me than she could have.
Only the display on iphone 60hz amazes me..
Anyway, it will arrive today and I'm curious about it 😃
Dobrý den.
I went to look at the S23Ultra in the store, but the first impression is not much... you don't feel the "iron" in your hand like the S21ultra.
I compared them with each other (21u / 23u)
- display at first good, it has s23 (brightness, contrast, overall impression). I had the brightness on both and the reading mode turned off.
The cameras didn't seem very different to me, not even the vaunted 200mpx.
Movement around the system was great, but browsing the web had slight jams in the smoothness of scrolling.
To be honest, I just went to take a look at it with the intention of ordering it, but just like with the s22, it doesn't make sense if you don't want a stylus or play games nonstop...
I believe that those who have it will be satisfied.
Let me know how it goes
Have a nice day
The S21 has perfect dimensions. S22 and S23 somehow do not fit me. S23 too small S23+ too big. I'll probably upgrade but I really don't know which one 🙂
I also thought that the 6,2 was ideal, I didn't go for the S22 because of the battery. Ordered S23+ so we'll see 😁
