On paper, there are models of the series Galaxy The S23 is one of the most durable "non-rugged" phones Samsung has ever produced. He equipped them with top-quality materials, such as the durable Armor Aluminum frame that surrounds their entire perimeter, water and dust resistance according to the IP68 standard, or protective glass Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front and back.
All the more surprising is how the S23+ performed in the drop test conducted by the well-known tech YouTube channel PBKreviews. The phone did not survive its first fall, which is not exactly expected from such a device. However, it should be noted that most accidental phone drops occur when the device falls on one of its corners and not with the display facing down. This way of testing can be described as debatable, to say the least.
Anyway, the PBKreviews YouTuber's test revealed dents, cracks and scratches on both the front and back glass panels. Dents also appeared on the Armor Aluminum frame. However, despite the rather serious damage, the phone continued to work without problems.
In other words, it is good to adequately protect even a premium smartphone boasting high resistance on paper. For the "plus" and basic model of the series Galaxy S23 we can recommend these packaging, for the highest then dude.
I said it. It does not come from the S22 series. He burned through this like crazy.
I do not agree that it is not likely to fall "on a flat", on the contrary, I have already had it twice with previous models, exactly this type of fall with a landing with the dial down on a flat surface and the result was a cracked display, even with a simple fall from the couch onto a laminate floor, i.e. approx. 40 cm. Corner accidents are also common, but do not always end with a cracked display. Hell, nothing and no one is immortal 😂
Well, we don't envy you. Just bad luck...
