Samsung already offers some of the best available androidof tablets on the market and it seems that it does not end there. The Korean giant has now quietly launched an updated version of its popular budget tablet Galaxy Tab S6 Lite named Galaxy S6 Lite (2024).

Original Galaxy The Tab S6 Lite debuted in 2020 and two years later saw an updated version with the moniker (2022). And as discovered by the website Gizmochina, the Romanian branch of Samsung has now officially launched its second update with the name Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024).

Galaxy The Tab S6 Lite (2024) has the same design as the Tab S6 Lite (2022) and the original Tab S6 Lite, but is now available in a mint color. It's powered by an unspecified chipset, but earlier leaks and listed processor clocks point to the Exynos 1280, which debuted in last year's smartphone Galaxy A53 5G. This is followed by 4 GB of operating memory and 64 GB of storage.

Apart from the "new" chipset, most of the specifications remain unchanged. The tablet is equipped with a 10,4-inch TFT display with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. On the back there is an 8MPx camera capable of recording videos in Full HD resolution. Other equipment includes a 5MP front camera, a 3,5mm headphone jack, a microSD card slot and an S Pen stylus.

The tablet is powered by a battery with a capacity of 7040 mAh and support for 15W charging. In terms of software, it is built on z Androidon 14 the upcoming One UI 6.1 superstructure, however, due to hardware limitations, it will likely not support artificial intelligence features Galaxy AI. Interestingly, even though the Exynos 1280 chipset supports 5G networks, the tablet only offers LTE connectivity.

The Romanian branch of the Korean giant does not say how much the tablet will cost, but according to unofficial information it will be around 400 euros (about 10 CZK).
