Samsung Galaxy The Alpha (SM-G850x) was introduced on 13 August 2014 and launched in September 2014. It was a high-end device and Samsung's first smartphone with an operating system Android, which featured a metal frame, although the rest of its physical appearance still resembled previous models, as it should Galaxy S5. It also featured Samsung's new Exynos 5430 system chip, which is the first mobile SoC to use the 20nm manufacturing process.
Galaxy Alpha received mixed reviews; although it was praised for its superior build and design compared to earlier products, the device was criticized for its modest specifications compared to its flagship counterpart, the Galaxy S5, and priced too high for what they considered a mid-range smartphone.
